About Fonterra
Fonterra is a New Zealand-based dairy co-operative owned by over 10,000 farming families. Since its formation in 2001, the co-op has grown into one of the world’s largest dairy exporters, with operations in over 40 countries and a global team of around 20,000 employees. In New Zealand and beyond, Fonterra is known for producing high-quality dairy products that feed millions every day.
Driving Towards a Greener Fleet
As part of its sustainability and efficiency goals, Fonterra has begun transitioning its fleet of delivery vehicles to electric. This shift required a charging solution that could keep up with the demands of their busy logistics network, ensuring reliable, fast-charging infrastructure that ensures maximum fleet uptime, keeping their trucks on route as much as possible.
To support this transition, Fonterra partnered with EVSE to supply a solution that matched their operational needs. After careful consultation with the team at EVSE New Zealand, the Ocular DC Titan charger was selected, providing high-performance DC fast charging capabilities. With installation managed by the trusted partner Well’s Energy, the new charging system was quickly brought online.

The Results
The addition of the new EV charging infrastructure has already delivered measurable benefits. Fonterra’s delivery vehicles can now be recharged quickly and efficiently, allowing for continuous rotation and reduced downtime. This investment not only supports Fonterra’s sustainability targets but enhances the reliability of their delivery operations, ensuring fresh dairy products reach their retail suppliers on time, every time.
