EVSE New Zealand and GAC New Zealand Announce EV Charging Partnership
Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. Ltd. (GAC), one of China’s leading automotive manufacturers, has confirmed its official entry into the New Zealand market, debuting with three new models across petrol, battery-electric (BEV), and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrains.
EVSE New Zealand and GAC New Zealand are pleased to announce a new partnership designed to support GAC’s local launch and ensure customers have access to reliable, high-quality EV charging solutions from day one. Through this collaboration, EVSE will supply essential EV accessories, including portable chargers and charging cables.
Supporting GAC’s EV Customers as They Enter the NZ Market
As GAC introduces its first electric vehicles into New Zealand, ensuring customers have access to reliable home charging is a key part of the ownership experience. EVSE’s partnership with GAC NZ will provide buyers with a trusted charging ecosystem tailored to their needs, allowing them to enjoy their new EVs with confidence.
To mark the beginning of this collaboration, EVSE recently installed Ocular IQ Home Solar chargers at GAC NZ’s head office in Auckland. This installation demonstrates EVSE’s commitment not only to providing hardware but also to supporting GAC with practical, on-the-ground charging infrastructure as the brand establishes its presence in the country.
Partner Statements
Jacques le Roux, National Sales Manager at EVSE New Zealand, said during the handover of the newly installed chargers at GAC’s Auckland headquarters:
“We’re proud to partner with GAC to support their customers in making the shift to electric vehicles with ease. At EVSE, we’re committed to delivering high-quality, reliable charging solutions that give customers peace of mind, knowing they have the right infrastructure for their new GAC EV at home and on the road.”
Donny Zhang, Managing Director of GAC New Zealand, added:
“At GAC NZ, we understand that customers transitioning to electric vehicles want to ensure their homes and EVs are equipped with the right charging infrastructure, and we’re committed to providing an exceptional customer experience that meets all their EV ownership needs. Partnering with EVSE allows us to deliver that level of confidence to our customers.”
Strengthening EV Accessibility Across New Zealand
This partnership brings together GAC’s arrival in the New Zealand automotive market and EVSE’s experience in delivering EV charging solutions for homes and businesses. By providing customers with a complete charging ecosystem, both organisations are helping make electric vehicle ownership more accessible and convenient for drivers across the country.
More updates on GAC’s launch and upcoming EV offerings will be shared soon.
