Home Charging Behavior
Do I need to get an Audi charger installed at my home?
It is recommended that you have a charger installed at a place of frequent stopping, like your home or work. Whilst it is not needed, we recommend doing so to avoid waiting for long periods of time. A home or work Audi charger will allow your vehicle to conveniently charge whilst you are asleep or whilst you are at work.
Will I still need to purchase petrol?
This is dependent on whether you purchase a fully battery-operated vehicle (BEV) or a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). A PHEV is an advanced vehicle that uses either an electric motor or an internal combustion engine (ICE) to power the vehicle. A PHEV still operates using an IC engine, which means it will still need petrol. PHEVs have a low fuel consumption rate when compared to regular IC engine vehicles. BEVs such as the Audi e-tron Quattro 55, do not require petrol as this vehicle is solely battery operated.
How long does it take to charge an Audi electric car?
Home charging speeds are dependent on the power supply, AC or DC charging supply, and the car. Our electrician can determine the available power at your home and determine the right solution for you. DC is not recommended for home.

Installation Cost for an Audi Charger
Cost varies based on length from the distribution board and the ease of running electrical cables to the site where you wish to mount the Audi charging station. This includes the distribution board or energy panel, your charging station’s location, and the distance between. For home installations, we make it simple with a fixed price installation for Audi charging stations. For Destination and Commercial purposes, an electrician will need to conduct a site inspection.
